The Hagens herein came from Lancaster Co., PA to Richmond, VA some 100 years ago while the Adkins remained in Pittsylvania Co., VA for several hundred years. The picture at right shows Four Generations of Hagens Edwin Walter Hagen (I), his son Edwin Walter Hagen (II), his son Alvah Charles Hagen, his son Paul Derald Hagen. This picture was taken ca 1918 at Edwin (II)'s home in Bensley Village, Chesterfield Co., VA.
